Work Experience:

President, Physician, and Sole-Creator of Yooper Cooper Health, PLLC - Upper Peninsula, Lower Michigan, and Indiana (Opening 11/2026) - Old-fashioned at-home primary care and urgent care physician business built from the ground up by yours truly.

Bergette Pigments co-owner aka Dr. Partner - Upper Peninsula, MI (2021 - current) - Bulk producer of a natural/proprietary watercolor binder, large-scale pigment production, logistics, artistic support, and basic roles of a chief financial officer.

Physician Evaluator - Signify Health, LLC, Michigan and Pennsylvania - (2023 - 10/2026) - Working as an independant contractor, I evaluated the primary care and health of numerous individuals, preformed completed clothed physical exams, collected labs, and activated case-management support/assistance services for members in need of food, utility, medication, transportation, telephone, psychiatric, fall prevention, cancer, and disability (ADL/iADL) assistance. I am no longer able to work here as an independant contractor. I would have to sign up to work for the parent company and their contract was outrageously unreasonable.

Infectious Disease/HIV/AIDS Physician and Artist - Damien Center, Indianapolis, Indiana (2018 - 2021) - Onsite physician and primary care management for critical, high-risk, and stable patient with HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, psychiatric issues, and addiction issues. I also supplied most of the art on site during my stay with multiple donations to them for charity events.

Addiction Physician - Groups, Indiana (2017 - 2021) - Intakes, groups sessions with educational lectures, and nurse practitioner supervision at several Indiana locations.

Urgent Care Physician - MedExpress, Indiana and Pennsylvania (2013 - 2017) - Single managing physician at multiple, busy urgent care facilities across two states, including nurse practitioner supervision.

Disability Physician - MedPlus, Indiana (2013) - Performing exams and evaluations for state disability offices in varying locations.

Medical Clerkship - AM Edwards Hospital, The Bottom, Saba, Dutch Caribbean (2007) - Assisted Dr. Koot in patient care and physical examinations, helped run a community health fair, and presented cases.

Clinical Assistant - Palmer Center for Chiropractic Research, Davenport, IA (2005 - 2006) - Treatment technician, patient screening, RefMan sofware database manager, filter coder, and interviews.

Greenhouse Manager at Kenyon College - (2001 -2005) - Basic greenhouse management tasks (weeding, cleaning, propagating, watering, replanting, and pest control). I also began a plant website that unfortunately looks like it has never been touched again since I left.

Mercer Arboretum and Botanical Gardens - (Multiple summers and winters during college breaks) - Everything involved in keeping the place running from greenhouse management, planting, pruning, landscaping, cleaning, mowing, patroling, weeding, and managing Harris County Jail inmate volunteers.

Country singer website manager for Bob Martell - (High school/College) - Show him some love and check out his albums: We Don’t Need Computers in the Country and Vietnam (Most Forgot).

Tutor - I have been a free to affordable tutor as long as I can remember in grade school up through medical school.

Activities/Honors/Volunteer Work:

Damien Center Art Classes - Indianapolis, IN (2019 - 2021) - Free of charge and paid for myself 1-2 times a month and available to all staff, clients, members, and patients. I used my own PTO (personal time off, supplies, and money). It was a great way to reach patients who were not coming to their visits or suffering from depression.

Feeding the Homeless - Indianapolis, IN (2013 - 2021) - Once or twice a month, I would make gourmet sandwiches for the homeless or purchase six-inch sub sandwiches to feed the homeless at night on the weekends downtown. I rode a white Bianchi bike around with a blue-light LED wrapping. Perhaps someone has a picture of me downtown doing this while out partying. Feel free to send it to me!

International Anesthesia Research Society - San Diego, CA (2013) - Abstract presentation: Management of cesarean section delivery at 27 weeks in a morbidly obese (BMI=79) pre-eclamptic patient with BIPAP and CSE
